Welcome to the home page for Wood4Good, Inc., an entrepreneurial company founded by Paul Sharon Jr. in 2001. As the name suggests, the initial iteration of the company dealt with creating a new middle market in the waste lumber stream and reusing it as a viable building material. Since then, it has expanded to incorporate real estate development, an educational improvement program, some small business and patent ideas, and a public speaking program.
Our lumber recycling program broke new ground by creating contracts with several central Massachusetts contractors and landfills to practice source separation and recycle viable wood instead of throwing it away. Like all recycling we found our greatest challenge was the resale of the recycled lumber after the reclamation process. So, we teamed up with our real estate development branch of the company to use the recycled wood in renovation projects to show that this recycled wood definitely can bring a unique dimension to both interior and exterior designs.
Real estate development has been one of our interests for over 25 years in the form of flips, renovations, condo conversions, and rentals. In 2008 we put together a business plan and began to purchase, rehab, and rent multifamilies in Worcester MA. Since that time we have expanded our holdings to 16 properties that provide safe and affordable housing for 45 families.
On the educational front, we are working with central MA high schools to implement an elements of learning program. This program is designed to help students in the beginning of their high school career develop the study and retention skills necessary to truly excel in academics.
We really believe that diversity in both life and business keeps things fresh and fun. We are always on the lookout for the next venture to add to our company that can help make the world a better place.
